Eric Bernstein is the founder and CEO of Werkly.com. He has been a freelancer working in production since the age of 15 and spent his early years working with nationally touring rock bands. Currently, he produces boutique private concerts with groups like The Black Keys, Andrew Bird, Guns and Roses, Jane's Addiction, The Rapture, and many many more. Over the last 10 years, he has become a sought after technical director for runway fashion shows and high-end events for luxury brands and hotels. In 2009, Eric started a design/build company that has constructed several restaurants, retail spaces, and venues-- most recently, a space called Lightbox. His first restaurant, Woodwork, helped him become a community leader in Brooklyn, dedicated to helping other local businesses and workers. In the last few years, the success of peer-to-peer organizations and a change in the way new generations look at the world has driven him to create an innovative solution for sourcing local workers. Werkly is a community marketplace to Find, Hire and Pay local labor.
