Beautiful Soup is a small food business based in Detroit. They focus on seasonal and locally produced soups. Their soups are made from scratch, starting with their homemade chicken and vegetable stock. They operate ther business with a triple-bottom-line, focusing on making socially, environmentally and economically conscious decisions as we grow and expand.

Beautiful Soup began in 2012. They started their business by selling our soups at three farmer's markets in the summer of 2012. They had a weekly presence at the Northwest Detroit Market, the Warren Farmer's Market and the West Park Farmer's Market in Grosse Pointe Park. For the summer of 2013 they are participating in the Northwest Detroit Farmer's Market, the Dearborn Farmer's Market and the Warren Farmer's Market.

Beautiful Soup is currently available in two Midtown coffee shops, The Bottom Line Coffee House and the MOCAD Cafe. They have sold at a number of special events and have hosted many pop up meals at these establishments. They are also available at the Just a Bit Eclectic Tea Shop and soon will be available at Always Brewing, both located in Northwest Detroit.

In May, Beautiful Soup began working with Gourmet Everyday. Gourmet Everyday is Metro- Detroit's premier freshly prepared, healthy-eating meal delivery service. After doing a nutritional analysis on eight of their most popular soups and gazpachos Gourmet Everyday began including Beautiful Soup in its weekly meal service plans targeted at consumers that want to lead a healthy lifestyle. 

Angela Dagle, the owner and Head Soup Maker of Beautiful Soup has years of experience in restaurant and catering environments. In early 2012 Angela participated in and completed Foodlab Detroit's first Business Planning Bootcamp class. In early 2013 she participated in and completed D:Hive's BUILD class for entrepreneurs. She has a Servsafe Certification- Food Handler's License.
